Do you ever stop and think for a second, “I’m so thankful to be alive today. There’s so many gadgets and gismos that empower me to be a better person than I was yesterday.”
No?
Well, consider it for a moment. Right in the fold of our pockets lies a tool that can connect us to just about anything: our cell phones. These magical things can even help shape us into a happier and healthier person.
But how?
It’s simple: we utilize the tools we have right now. In a matter of moments you can set an alarm that tells you when you’ve got read the next chapter of that look you recently started, or make time for your recently acquired cleaning habit. Even use it as the push that gets you over the but-I-don’t-want-to-workout phase! Being surrounded by technology, it’s natural that we get a bit desensitized to it, but seriously, we need to understand what we can do with the power we’ve grabbed.

In short, pay attention to the opportunities we have to perform better than we did yesterday. After all, we do have the technology for it!

There is just so much potential out there, waiting to be grabbed.

Recently I started reading the Slight Edge, and it is madly motivating. The magic of daily disciplines is a solution sitting right under our noses, right next to our fancy technology. It’s time we make the most of it, or regretfully watch time slip by…
